My 5 Studio spaces that have opened up into Vancouver laneways since 2009 are cold in the winter, hot in the summer, cool in the fall and damp in the spring. What more could a guy ask for? I mean it! So many people over the years have either driven or walked by with a smile and so many, without maybe even knowing it, have given me much encouragement and confidence through their complimentary words towards my work. And I'm especially proud when my neighbours thank me for providing a little extra feeling of security as the warm glow from my studio often fills their section of laneway - both literally and figuratively. I'm usually producing sculpture pieces within, but like any other studio space, angles of all sorts tend to get explored. I love being in the studio! Here are some pieces that were mainly inspired by very special people that are close to me in my life who deserved to receive a gift from me!

From the Cowlick Combs Studio - I sorta think that this shape resembles a whale. I actually created it when I was reading Moby Dick.

From the Cowlick Combs Studio - I liked this little piece and decided to keep it for one of my wife's beautiful plants.

From the Cowlick Combs Studio - the circular metal piece(s) came from an old light fixture that I got my hands on during one of my renovation projects.

From the Cowlick Combs Studio - I remember picking up the main piece on a beach almost a decade ago.
