My 4 Studio spaces that have opened up into Vancouver laneways since 2009 are cold in the winter, hot in the summer, cool in the fall and damp in the spring. What more could a guy ask for? I mean it! So many people over the years have either driven or walked by with a smile and so many, without maybe even knowing it, have given me much encouragement and confidence through their complimentary words towards my work. And I'm especially proud when my neighbours thank me for providing a little extra feeling of security as the warm glow from my studio often fills their section of laneway - both literally and figuratively. I'm usually producing sculpture pieces within, but like any other studio space, angles of all sorts tend to get explored. I love being in the studio! Here are some pieces that were mainly inspired by very special people that are close to me in my life who deserved to receive a gift from me!
From the Cowlick Combs Studio
From the Cowlick Combs Studio - I sorta think that this shape resembles a whale. I actually created it when I was reading Moby Dick.
From the Cowlick Combs Studio - I liked this little piece and decided to keep it for one of my wife's beautiful plants.

From the Cowlick Combs studio - This Bird Feeder resides on Victoria Drive in Vancouver. See the little white ring? I'm trying to get a photo of a bird sitting in it.
From the Cowlick Combs Studio - Lemyui wanted a little table that was mobile. Light fixture, driftwood, angel wing - shaped fir.
From the Cowlick Combs studio - This music stand was a gift to Lemyui for Christmas. Cello if you're wondering.
From the Cowlick Combs studio - This shelf sits in our sitting room.
From the Cowlick Combs studio - This was a gift to Lemyui and her earrings.
From the Cocoon - This flower was a christmas gift to my very special niece - Abby, who is so beautiful, inside and out.
From the Cocoon - This Angel was gifted to my future wife for Christmas years back. My first sculpture for her. She's really such an angel.
